An augmented reality for sports studies
10 Jun 2016

Year 9 Physical Activity and Sports Studies (PASS) students used augmented reality to research the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½n sporting experience. Augmented reality integrates digital information with live video in real time. As a user hovers a curser, mouse or finger over a digital screen, graphics, video, audio or animated content comes to life.
Using the augmented reality application Aurasma, the students created a virtual sporting museum. The students chose one particular sport to analyse, and used Aurasma to create an augmented reality presentation that discussed the influence of their chosen sport on Ä¢¹½´«Ã½n sporting culture, and how mass media has impacted sport over time.
